The Challenge

A network management division encountered difficulties in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring effective project delivery. They realised that their traditional project management approaches were insufficient for addressing the rapidly evolving business landscape and its changing requirements. Consequently, they acknowledged the necessity of a transformative shift towards adopting an agile delivery model to effectively tackle these challenges.

The Approach

We implemented a comprehensive approach that featured hands-on coaching at all levels of the division. This was achieved through a team of team-level Scrum Masters who were supported by Enterprise Agile Coaches. These coaches guided the overall transformation strategy and provided leadership and executive coaching. Working closely with leaders and team members, we placed emphasis on crucial areas such as establishing efficient agile delivery team structures, defining clear roles and responsibilities, promoting stakeholder engagement, enhancing capacity-based planning, implementing tighter feedback loops, and fostering a datadriven decision-making culture.
In instances where additional support was needed, dedicated Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches were stationed on-site with the teams. This individualised coaching helped team members adapt to their new roles while championing the adoption of agile methodologies, tools, and principles.

The Outcome

The engagement successfully enhanced operational efficiency, fostered collaboration between teams, and ensured alignment with scaled agile principles and practices. These outcomes brought about numerous benefits, including improved engagement with key stakeholders, more effective management of expectations, informed decision-making based on reliable data, streamlined work processes, and increased productivity levels.
